This is a small collection from a weekend of snowshoeing, tenting and ice caving on the shores of Helen Mackenzie Lake. It was cold, with plenty of snowfall and a lot of shovelling. I can't say it was fun, but it was good that it was for only one night. I will have to allow some time to pass, and my fingertips to stop buzzing and feeling icy, to say if winter camping is for me.
Once again, it's my trusty Sony α6000 and 16-50mm stock lens for these photos. The camera had issues with snow and condensation, and that is to be expected of the conditions. However, there were issues not of my doing: ISO moved unknowingly, resulted in some grainy photos; and overnight, the camera caught a chill, and the LCD display stopped working until it got warmed up - a notoriety with this model. This experience was truly a push of my photographic abilities.
